with Physiotherapy
Why do Physiotherapy and Pilates go so neatly together?
As Physiotherapists
we think we are able to diagnose movement faults which have led, or
could lead, to injuries in our clients.
During our client
sessions we primarily teach people how to correct these faults. We
also perform techniques that assist tight joints to free up and we
set exercises that tighten up loose joints - or areas of give.
What
is different about using a Pilates studio combined with a physio practice
?
We have deliberately
called the Physioworks Pilates clinic a 'clinic' as opposed to a 'studio'
due to the difference in the type of client we typically see.
This does not
mean we only see clients who suffer from musculo-skeletal pains but
we do understand them very well. We do also have many clients who
want to do Pilates exercise in a smaller environment, with more hands-on
teaching, but have no physical problems. |
